Fall Sports Endurance Prep
What: Get ready for fall sports tryouts with running and endurance drills designed to gradually prepare athletes for upcoming tryouts.
Dates: July 1, 2024 through August 16, 2024
Days and hours: Sessions based on athlete availability 2 in person sessions a week and 1 independent session per week.
Ages: Open to ages 11 and up.
Location: TBD based athlete schedule and could be different locations for each session. Possible locations include Underhill track, Meisel Track, Floods Hill, South Mountain Reservation.
Sample Schedule: Each day will start with a 10 minute warm up followed by specific training focus, which will include speed work, hill training, and endurance preparation. Each session will end with at 10 minute warm-down run.
Cost: $100 per week;
About Coach Scott: 25+ years of running experience, McMillan Certified Running Coach, Associate Level USA Triathlon Coach, Level 1 USA Triathlon Official, Assistant Track and Field Coach at Columbia High School. Camp is not affiliated with Columbia High School Sports
Athletes should bring at least 1 bottle (although 2 is highly recommended) of water or their preferred hydration drink. They should also bring any nutrition/snacks if they want.
