Gmail: Delete Single Message from Conversation

In Gmail, you can set the view to be a string of emails, showing the conversation grouped together.  But sometimes you may want to forward the conversation or reply, but for whatever reason you don't want all of the messages in the conversation to be included. You can easily delete individual messages within the conversation, here's how:

  1. Open the email thread/conversation
  2. Expand the emails so you can see each one
  3. Locate the email you want deleted and click the drop down arrow to the right of the email
  4. Choose Delete Message
  5. Now you can forward or reply to the message

I have included my first animated GIF in this post, so hopefully it gets the message across.

Don't forget to Circle me and follow me on Twitter to ensure you see all of my updates.

  1. I am using Gmail app on android and there is no such arrow. How do I do it?
